We Help CDC has been approved by the Housing and Urban Development as a Housing Counseling Agency.
We Help CDC has been approved to participate in the Chase Community Revitalization Program.
We Help CDC receives a $ 1,000,000.00 grant award for down payment assistance for home buyers purchasing housing units in Abidjan Estates from the “Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta.
We Help CDC has been approved for the Bank of America Connect to Own program, a partnership that will ensure successful homeownership for thousands of families.
Veterans Stand Down Event
On Nov 10, 2009, We Help CDC along with the City of South Bay and Glades Interagency Network, held the 2nd Annual Veterans Stand Down Event where more than 1,000 veterans and their families attended and were served breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Free physicals were provided by the staff from the County Health Department as well as haircuts and information on other services that are available to the veterans throughout the Tri-City Area.
On Nov 14, 2009, We Help CDC along with the City of South Bay, sponsored the 1st Annual Muck Bowl Tailgate Party in which more than 1,500 people participated in various festivities such as music, food, drinks, and face painting to name a few. The event was a resounding success of the Tri-City Community coming together for a day of unity without any violence or negative activity.
On Nov 26, 2009, We Help CDC, Christ Fellowship of Palm Beach Gardens, Mayor Shirley Walker-Turner, of the City of South Bay, Commissioner Diane Walker, of the City of Pahokee & Rev. White of Shiloh Miss. Baptist Church, Pahokee, and AA Industries Management and Estimating Inc., combined resources to feed 3,000 individuals within the Tri-City Area Thanksgiving Dinners. Volunteers from Kappa Alpha Phi Fraternity, Zeta Phi Beta sorority and other concerned citizens assisted in distributing the dinners. The event was a major success for the communities.
